We can't wait for next week and the beginning of a fun holiday season filled with a whole lotta food and drink, and some quality time with family and friends. And if you're planning on doing some shopping online while you're maxing and relaxing next week, we'd love for you to stop on by our little shop and check out what's in store. Between our ever-growing list of available cities in our Maps Glassware collection, to our new State Slates and BRAND NEW Maps Cases for iPhone 5+6, you can find the perfect gift for pretty much everyone on your list (including yourself -- hey, you deserve it!).
Here's a little sneak preview of our holiday deals, which start on Monday, November 24:
So come on by -- we know you'll be glad you did. Cheers!
Brian, Dave, and Neil
Yesterday we visited Olives & Grace, a cool little shop in Boston's South End that carries an awe-inspiring array of local, handmade, and socially responsible goods (including our Boston Maps Rocks Glasses!). We had a blast meeting and chatting with Sofi, who owns the store and curates the collection, and shares our passion for supporting small business and the community. She also puts together really nice gift boxes and sets. If you're within 50 miles of Boston at all during the holidays, it's worth the trip.
While we were there, we also got to meet Robin of Doves and Figs, who makes probably the best jams on planet Earth. She and her daughter make everything by hand in their kitchen and use only fruits grown in Massachusetts by local farms. We tasted a jam called Sunday Brunch -- they should really call it Heaven on a Cracker (Or Whatever Else You Want to Put It On). Let's just say we'll be stocking up on that one, and you should too.
We could not be more excited to launch our newest product, MapsCase! MapsCase is an elegant yet durable case for your phone, which is possibly your most important possession other than your dignity.
If you can't tell yet, we love cities, we love maps, we love functionality, and we love simple yet striking design. And thus MapsCase was born!
We hope you'll love these as much as we do. We'll be adding new cities and adding the iPhone 6 as soon as we can, so drop us a line at email@example.com if you have ideas for cities we should add, or any other thoughts you have about them. We love hearing from you.
Our friends over at The Grommet in nearby Somerville, MA, work hard to promote growing brands and cool products. So it seemed like a natural fit when they asked us to feature a selection of our Maps Glassware with them. We even got to make a cool video -- check it out!
We're over-the-moon thrilled to be partnering with West Elm's Local initiative, which promotes the work of local artists and designers by featuring their designs in West Elm stores. We just so happened to be in the neighborhood of the West Elm Fenway store last night in Boston, and we just so happened to catch them setting up our display!
Apparently our blogger went into hiding after Christmas and is only now re-surfacing to celebrate Pi Day...
Speaking of, Pi Day -- or 3.14 -- is an annual celebration of the wonderful, stupendous, irrational constant that literally makes the world go round. Where would we be without pi? Some questions are better left unanswered.
So in honor of this landmark day, we've been running a sale on all of our pi-themed products -- from our world-famous Pi Bottle Opener, to our Pi Pint Glasses you can use to celebrate and our Pi Kitchen Towels which you'll need to clean up after the party. Just enter the code PiForAll when you check out and get 20% off these fun products and many more.
So cheers to the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter! And to our faithful blogger being alive and well!
*Sale ends at midnight EST on Monday, March 17. Get in while the gettin's good!
As we wind down 2013 and prepare for a couple weeks of putting the wrong date on our letters and checks, we here at theUncommonGreen just want to thank everyone who visited us, wrote to us, searched for us on the internet, joined our newsletter or found us on social media, shopped with us, recommended us to friends and family... and in general helped us have such an amazing year!
Your enthusiasm for our products, helpful feedback, and all-around awesomeness are what make our work so rewarding.
We look forward to even better things in 2014, so come on back any time and see what we've been working on!
